student visit

A few weeks ago, I hosted a few students from my alma mater University of Chicago at the firm. Looking back, I wish I had the opportunity to do site visits at financial institutions when I was in grad school. The program, funded by NIH as a part of the myCHOICE program, aims to help students to transition into non-conventional (outside of academia) type of jobs. In the 1.5 short hour we had, we went through the field of equity research and particularly, how a science background is critical in aiding the due diligence process when it comes to evaluating early clinical stage biotech companies. Overall, it was very rewarding. I wonder where I will see some of them again in the near future!
